Graham Owen Photography, Photoshopped?

November 13, 2009

Graham Owen is an excellent nature/landscape photographer in the Los Angeles area. He photographs one of my favorite subjects, The Eastern Sierras. This shot in particular strikes me a so familiar, yet I can’t seem to identify what lake it is. After careful examination I have determined this to be several shots composed in Photoshop. If this is the case he has done an excellent job. I was however analyzing a low resolution photo and I could be totally wrong.

Hey Graham, if I am wrong, please tell me where you shot this amazing photo.

For some reason the photograph looks slightly awkward with all the elements “seperate”. However, some photographs just sometimes look totally wrong when they aren’t.

Graham Owen has confirmed, thie lake is real. This is South Lake, in the Bishop Creek drainage. Near Aspendell, California. Melissa and I were there in the summer of 2008. Beautiful photo.
